Yet another anchor-turned-actor from Vijay TV has been making waves in Kollywood. Sivakarthikeyan, who was a television anchor with Vijay TV for many years before debuting as hero in Kolywood in 2011, has paved way for his co-anchor Ma Ka Pa Anand who debuted as actor with the 2014 film Vanavarayan Vallavarayan. Anand’s film would be Atti which would be released in theatres in February.
Director Vijayabhaskar gave a lengthy explanation to those who wondered what Atti meant in local Tamil. He thought up a novel idea and decided to rope in Vijay Sethupathi to give a brief explanation about the topic prior to the commencement of the film in theatres.
“I thought it would be better if it is said in Vijay Sethupathi’s words. I got in touch with music director Sundar C Babu who spoke to Vijay Sethupathi and convinced him to lend his voice. Vijay Sethupathi was very quick in arriving at the dubbing theatre and lending his voice for which we are grateful to him,” Vijayabhaskar said.
Anand has reportedly made a serious effort in the film in dancing and fight sequences in his effort to establish himself as a saleable hero. He looped optimistic of doing so at the trailer launch of the film held a few days back at Prasad Labs in Chennai.
