Pandiraj, the national award-winning director who also turned producer some time back, has informed that his next directorial venture Idhu Namma Aalu would release in theatres towards end-February or early March.
Pandiraj managed a casting coup by bringing Simbu and Nayantara, ex-flames, to pair up opposite each other in Idhu Namma Aalu whose shoot commenced in 2014. The film’s shoot had been wrapped up and the post-production work is now going on at a terrific pace. For various reasons, the film’s release in theatres was postponed twice last year.
Speaking to newsmen recently, Pandiraj said that the film would release in theatres by end-February or early-March and added that he was confident that Nayantara and Simbu would take part in the promotional events ahead of the film’s release.
“When I cast Simbu and Nayan to star in the film, people expressed their disbelief that the film may not be completed; now that it is complete, they say Nayan may not attend the promos.
Nayan, on her part, is very cooperative but we couldn’t make full use of the dates she had liberally allotted to us. I’m confident she won’t say no as and when I ask her to attend the film’s promotional events,” concluded Pandiraj.
