Thenandal Films, owned by the relatives of late film-maker Rama Narayanan, has acquired the release and distribution rights of actor Prashanth’s comeback film titled Saahasam.
Prashanth was last spotted in Pulan Visaranai 2 whose shoot had been completed more than a decade back but which released only last year due to various issues.
He now pins his hopes of a grand comeback in Saajasam produced by his father and film-maker Thiagarajan and directed by Arun Raj Varma. Actor-producer Thiagarajan has also penned the film’s screenplay and dialogues.
Australia-based model Amanda debuts as heroine in Tamil films by pairing up opposite Prashanth in Saahasam which has music by S. Thaman. The film has a huge star-cast in Abeetha, Abi Saravanan, Nassar, Thulasi, Devadarshini, Sonu Sood, Thambi Ramaiah, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Hema, Leema Babu, M.S. Bhaskar, John Vijay, ‘Robo’ Shankar, Brahmaji, Swaminathan, Raj Kapoor, Madan Bob and Nalini.
Bollywood sizzler Nargis Fakhri, born to a Pakistani father and a Czech mother, has performed an ‘item number’ with Prashanth in the film which is to release in theatres on 05th February. Thenandal Films would be releasing its third film in the year in Saahasam after Kathakali (released on Pongal) and Aranmanai 2 (to release towards end-January).
