Actor ‘Jayam’ Ravi has revealed that he would not only be essaying the lead role in the sequel to this year’s Thani Oruvan but would also be working as one of the many assistant directors in the sequel which is yet to be named.
Directed by Ravi’s brother and director ‘Jayam’ Raja, Thani Oruvan released a few months back and turned out to be a super-duper hit. Though Ravi and Nayantara have been in films for more than a decade now, Nayantara was paired up opposite Ravi for the first time in Thani Oruvan which also had an antagonist’s role for former ‘chocolate boy’ Aravind Swamy.
The film is to be remade in Telugu with Ram Charan Teja essaying Ravi’s role. Talks are also on to remake the film in Hindi. In the meantime, Ravi has spilled the beans about what the audiences and his fans could expect in the sequel to Thani Oruvan. “Raja Anna (elder brother) has prepared the script of the second part i.e. sequel to Thani oruvan. I was surprised and happy when he narrated the sequel’s script.
“I have told him that I would provide him call-sheet dates even at short notice to star in the sequel. I have also expressed my desired to Raja to allow me to work also as an assistant director when the sequel is made. I can’t wait till the film’s shoot starts next year,” Ravi concluded.
