At a time when Kollywood is groping in the dark as to what to do to bail out actor Simbu and music director Anirudh Ravichander from the ‘beep’ song controversy which threatens the careers of both of them, Simbu appears to have been sidelined by film-makers whereas Anirudh seems to be getting film offers as in the past.
Complaints are piling up against the duo for the ‘beep’ song, which was reportedly ‘leaked’ on the Net by Simbu’s friends. Coimbatore Police issued summons to the duo to appear before them on 02nd January even as Chennai Police are on the look-out for Simbu’s whereabouts. Anirudh, who was in Canada a fortnight back, has chosen not to return to India fearing his arrest in the controversy.
Though Anirudh has been sacked from director Hari’s upcoming Singam 3, he has been signed up to score music for some new films. Prashanth, who would be playing the hero in a multi-language film to be made by his father, has signed up Anirudh to score the music of the film. A frontline heroine is in talks to play Prashanth’s heroine in the film, it is reported.
Anirudh has also announced on his Twitter account that he would be hosting a musical concert in Malaysia on Valentines’ Day in February. Simbu, however, continues to be boycotted by Kollywood as the future of his films under production hangs in balance.
