In order to arrest actor Simbu in the controversial ‘beep’ song issue, the Chennai police is said to have formed three special teams to trace and arrest the actor.
Pressure on Simbu has been mounting with each passing day in the controversy surrounding the song, sung by Simbu and set to score by Anirudh Ravichander. The song, which has many vulgarish words (which leave very little to imagination) which are ‘muted’ using the ‘beep’ sound, has come to be referred to in the media as the ‘beep’ song.
High Court of Madras has postponed the hearing on Simbu’s bail plea to 04th January while Simbu and Anirudh have been summoned for the second time by Coimbatore police to appear before them on 02nd January to explain their side of the case.
High Court of Madras has directed the police to file a review petition against Simbu’s bail plea and another petition seeking extension of time for Simbu to appear before the police in Coimbatore on 02nd Jaunary.
The Court has, however, not banned Simbu’s arrest which means that the police are on the look-out for Simbu who has been absconding.
Simbu’s cell-phone remains ‘switched off’ for the past 10 days. Simbu’s relatives and friends have been interrogated by the police which is also tracing the phone-calls made to them in an effort to find whether any of those calls reaches Simbu.
Chennai police is said to have alerted their counterparts in Kerala and Andhra Pradesh to look out for Simbu in their territories.
