Author Jayamohan, who pens the dialogues of superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film 2.0 which is directed by Shankar and produced by Lyka Mobiles, has said that the film’s script would be a ‘perfect fodder’ for Rajnikanth’s style of acting.
Shoot of 2.0, sequel to Enthiran: The Robot, commenced in Chennai last week and has been going on. After a long time, Rajini is starring two films simultaneously as his Pa. Ranjith-directed Kabali is also proceeding in Goa at present.
Bollywood’s Akshay Kumar plays the antagonist in 2.0 which may also have Neil Nitin Mukesh as the second villain. Amy Jackson essays a female robot in the film.
“I had already completed my part of the work in 2.0 and only had to fine-tune it. As we couldn’t sign up Arnold Schwarzenegger due to various legal formalities, we signed up Akshay Kumar whose role is a powerful one. It is indeed great news that Rajini Sir’s health has improved so much so that he is starring simultaneously in 2 films.
“Chitti in 2.0 would provide the perfect fodder for Rajini’s natural speed, anger and his characteristic mischief. In my opinion, Anniyan is Shankar’s best screenplay so far but I feel 2.0 has outscored it.
I have always loved James Bond movies and sci-fi ventures as a kid; script of 2.0 has given life to my old feelings. I won’t talk about the film’s script till the film releases,” concludes Jayamohan.
