It is reported in Kollywood circles that actor Jiiva has decided to produce his close friend and actor Arya’s next film on behalf of his father’s banner ‘Super Good Films’ so as to bail out the actor who has been facing a series of failures at the box-office.
Arya and Jiiva share special bonding and both of them essayed guest appearances for the other in films. If Arya made a guest appearance in Jiiva’s Siva Manasula Sakthi, the latter repeated the compliment in Arya’s Boss Engira Bhaskaran and the latest Inji Iduppazhagi. The friendly bonding has resulted in Jiiva deciding to produce Arya’s next film under his father’s banner.
Arya, who handles comedy and action-packed roles with equal élan, has been one of the frontline heroes in Kollywood for the past decade.
However, he has had a string of failures in recent years after the hit film Raja Rani (2013) in the form of Magizh Thirumeni’s Meagamann, S.P. Jananathan’s Porampokku Engira Podhuvudamai, Vishnuvardhan’s Yatchan, M. Rajesh’s Vasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga and the recently-released Inji Iduppazhagi.
Arya now only has the Tamil remake of the Malayalam hit film Bangalore Days. Realizing his folly, Arya has decided only to take up action-packed roles fromnow onwards.
The film to be produced by Jiiva for Arya would be directed by Raghavan who made last year’s Manja Pari starring Vimal, Lakshmi Menon and Raj Kiran. A formal announcement in this regard is expected to be made soon.
