The launch of superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Enthiran 2 is to be held today on the day when Rajini turns 66. 12th December is always celebrated with great enthusiasm and happiness by Rajini’s fans all over Tamil Nadu and elsewhere.
This year, though, Rajini has decided not to celebrate his birthday in view of the huge loss of life and property witnessed recently in Chennai due to floods.
Directed by Shankar, Enthiran 2 is to be produced at a huge cost by Lyka Mobiles, who produced Vijay’s controversial Kaththi last year. Contrary to reports which appeared in the press a few days back, the film’s muhurat hasn’t been held and it has now been announced by the makers that the film would be launched today coinciding with Rajini’s birthday.
After wrapping up the shoot of his upcoming film Kabali (directed by Pa. Ranjith) in January, Rajini would start to shoot for Enthiran 2 from end-January or February.
Rajini is said to have given his consent to launch the film on his birthday though he has cancelled his birthday celebrations in view of the Chennai floods and the suffering of the people in Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur and Cuddalore.
