The never-before seen rains have played havoc with the lives of people in Chennai, Cuddalore and other coastal Districts. Producer-actor Rajkiran and veteran actress Lakshmi were rescued by Armymen after flood waters entered their houses. Pictures of Rajkiran and Lakshmi getting rescued proved amply that flood was a great leveler which didn’t spare anyone.

Actor Siddharth and actress Kanika’s houses were also inundated with floods. After flood water entered his house and studio in Ashok Nagar, Rahman managed to reach a nearby house of his relative safely. He has thanked his friends, relatives and well-wishers.

“I’m safe but feel pain in my heart to see the suffering of people in Chennai and other parts of the State. All of us have been made ‘temporary refugees’ by the unprecedented rains,” Rahman has said.

“I hope Chennai would be renovated soon and arrangements would be put in place to ensure that we are protected adequately in future from such natural calamities. Almighty would always be with us,” he said.
