Director Priyadarshan who was busy in Mollywood and Bollywood is now back to Tamil industry. Priyadarshan’s last directorial venture in Tamil was Kanchivaram, an offbeat film plotted around the weavers in Kanchipuram. Kanchivaram won the National Award for Best Feature Film, the film also fetched Prakash Raj National Award for Best Actor.
And now he is back with Sila Samayangalil – a film on AIDS awareness. Originally named Sila nerangalil this movie is now renamed as Sila Samayangalil.
While talking about Sila Samayangalil Priyadarshan says, “The film is about 8 persons who have undergone HIV test on the same day and waiting for their results, the film is a mix of their anxiety, depression, happiness. Of the 90 plus films I have directed, Kancheevaram and Sila Samayangalil are the movies that give me the contentment of a creator”.
The movie produced by Director AL Vijay and his wife actress Amala Paul is now in post production stage.
