Anandhi of Kayal and Chandi Veeran fame has vowed that she would never work in future with Adhik Ravichandran, the director of Trisha Illana Nayantara, which released a few months back.
Starring music director-turned-hero G.V. Prakash Kumar, Anandhi and Manisha Yadav in the lead, Trisha Illana Nayantara was pilloried by critics of the print and television media but the film’s adult-content, its double-meaning dialogues and the not-so-impressive screenplay appealed to the youth who turned it into a success story by patronizing and repeatedly watching the film.
Anandhi, who was always thought of as an actress who would only opt to star in performance-oriented films, shocked critics and her fans by starring in a B-grade film such as Trisha Illana Nayantara. Her Visaranai opposite Attakathi Dinesh and directed and co-produced by award-winning director Vetrimaaran is yet to release in theatres.
Speaking recently to a leading English newspaper, Anandhi asserted that whatever happened, she would never work with Adhik Ravichandran, the director of Trisha Illana Nayantara.
