Nassar, president of Nadigar Sangam, has appealed to directors – both newcomers and established – to protect the (financial) interests of the producers who invest in films believing whole-heartedly in the directors’ scripts.
“It is imperative for the directors to ensure that the producers are at least able to recover their cost of production. Making films which don’t hurt the producers financially is more important than trying to make films which run for 50 days or 100 days,” Nassar remarked while speaking at a function in the city where he released the trailer of an upcoming film titled Ka Ka Ka.
Produced simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu by Arpita Creations, Ka Ka Ka has Ashok, Megashree, Nassar and Jayasudha in significant roles. Nassar released the trailer which was accepted by Vetrimaaran.
“Nowadays, film-making has gone digital and everybody is venturing into film production. It is heartening to note that plenty of youths with novel ideas are debuting in the film industry at regular basis.
“I always welcome newcomers and their approach to film-making and that’s why I took up the offer to act in Ka Ka Ka. It was planned well by the director and unlike many directors who don’t plan things and make their producers suffer financially, the director of Ka Ka Ka was adept in planning the shooting schedule.
I feel that directors should attempt to first protect the financial interests of their directors,” he concluded.
