It is rumoured that actor Jiiva, who has been going through a lean phase as far his career as an actor is concerned, is likely to take up his second film as hero with cinematographer-turned-director K.V. Anand.
K.V. Anand directed the super-hit Anegan starring Dhanush and Amyra Dastur which released early this year. He had hinted that his next film might star Arya in the lead and had appealed to pressmen not to spread rumours stating that Sivakarthikeyan would be playing the lead role in his film as it may hurt the feelings of Arya with whom he was in talks.
Anand and Jiiva last worked in the blockbuster hit film Ko which released in 2011. Made at a budget of Rs.14 crores, it raked huge profits and collected more than Rs.175 crores and ran for more than 150 days at many centres. Lauded by critics and loved by audiences, Ko went on to become a significant film in the careers of both Anand and Jiiva.
It is now rumoured that Anand has zeroed in on Jiiva after considering casting Arya or ‘Jayam’ Ravi as the hero in his next film as director. Unconfirmed reports say that the talks between Jiiva and Anand have reached final stage and that a formal word about the film would be out in the next few days.
