It is said that many young and frontline heroines, who were approached with an offer to pair up opposite music director-turned-hero G.V. Prakash in his next film titled Bruce Lee, had ‘excused’ themselves saying that they didn’t want to take up the offer besides refusing to state a clear reason.
G.V. Prakash Kumar was a successful music director as well as a playback singer when he felt the urge all of a sudden to turn an actor. His Pencil, wherein he plays a school student, opposite the petite Sri Divya, was launched in 2013 but thought the film’s shoot has been wrapped up, it doesn’t appear to be gearing up to release in screens. Darling, which he signed much later, released last year and turned out to be successful.
Trouble erupted when his Trisha Illana Nayantara hit the screens a few weeks back. The film’s double-meaning dialogues and the overtly adult content ensured that the film was totally neglected by women and family audiences. However, male college students and youths liked the film which managed to recover its investment and has been doing well.
G.V. Prakash Kumar now gears up to star in his next film titled Bruce Lee for which he sent feelers to leading heroines such as Kajal Aggarwal, Hansika, Nayantara and Priya Anand. However, he met with a negative response from all of them and finally zeroed in on Tollywood and Sandalwood actress Kriti Kharbanda, known for her hourglass figure and who turns 27 in a few weeks. It remains to be found out as to why heroines in Kollywood choose to stay away from him!
