Normally, big directors won’t appreciate newcomers for obvious reasons but Vetrimaran seems to be an exception as he has openly wished Radio Petti’s director, Hari Vishwanath for winning the audience favorite award at the prestigious Busan International Film Festival.
“Congratulations to Hari Viswanath and team on their film Radio set winning the audience award at the Busan international film 2015. A debutant Tamil filmmaker winning such a prestigious award is commendable”, posted Vetrimaran on his micro-blogging page.
Vetrimaran too has recently won the best cinema for human rights award for his film, Visaraanai at Venice International Film Festival. Though it was given by a NGO, it’s still a great honor for team Visaaranai.
