Producer-distributor-actor Udhayanidhi’s upcoming film Gethu is likely to release in theatres on 18th December.
The film, which is produced by Udhayanidhi’s Red Giant Movies, pair him opposite Briton Amy Jackson, who was last spotted in Tamil films as Vikram’s heroine in Shankar’s I which released a few months back. Besides the lead pair, Vijay’s cousin brother Vikranth, Karunakaran and Sathyaraj are essaying prominent roles in the film.
It may be noted that Udhayanidhi has replaced Santhanam, who had played a very important in his promotion as a hero by co-starring him in all his previous films, with Karunakaran. Harris Jayaraj is the film’s music director. Thirukkumaran pens the story, screenplay and dialogues besides directing the film.
The film’s shoot was held in Chennai, Cochin and Goa and was recently wrapped up. The crew says that only three song sequences are to be shot after which the film’s post-production work would commence. The film is likely to be released in theatres a week ahead of Christmas on 18th December, it is informed.
