Rajesh M. Selva, Kamal Haasan’s long-time aide and the debutant director of the latter’s upcoming film Thoongavanam, has discounted rumours which said that the script of the film is about events occurring in a single night.
Kamal Haasan, Trisha, Asha Sarath, Prakash Raj and Kishore have essayed prominent roles in Thoongavanam which Kamal has co-produced. As its Kamal’s next film after the super-duper hit Papanasam and is releasing on Deepavali eve, it has generated huge excitement among Kamal Haasan’s fans.
“It’s not a story occurring in a single night; moreover, unlike what is reported in sections of the media, it is not about romance. I appeal to critics not to jump to conclusions based merely on the film’s title. It’s an action-packed thriller. Unlike general perception about the film that the script occurs in the night, it occurs from the morning of a day till the night of the next day,” Rajesh reveals.
“Though I’m an atheist like Kamal Sir, I consider him like my ‘God’. Till I breathe my last, I can never forget the moment when he addressed me as ‘director’,” says Selva, apparently moved by Kamal’s gesture.
