Actor-producer-director and Vijay’s father S.A. Chandrasekar has said that he never liked riding the back of a winning horse. Referred to as SAC by industry folks, he made the remark while taking part in a meet-the-press event held in the city in connection with the upcoming release of a new film Kirumi starring Reshmi Menon in the lead.
The event was held at Prasad Labs and was attended by producers ‘Rajini’ Jayaraman, Prithviraj and Rajendran besides the lead cast and crew members.
SAC and producer K. Rajan were the special invitees at the event. Director Anucharan revealed that Kirumi has been chosen to represent India at a leading international film festival. “After confirming from the organizers, I shall announce the details later,” he said.
Madhan (of Escape Artisets), who releases the film, said “I have seen the film thrice but each time, I had a feeling as if I was watching it for the first time. It’s true; I’m sure that when the audiences get to watch the film in theatres, they would also feel the same. It is sure to leave a lasting impression in their minds!”
“I known Anucharan for a long time and had already asked him to make a film for me but he is debuting with Kirumi as a director. The film is sure to succeed and I won’t ask Anucharan to make a film for me as I don’t like riding on successful horses.
When I was asked to come for the preview show, I told him I’d only watch half the film as I was busy; however, I was compelled by the script to watch the entire film. I loved it and wish the film’s crew success,” SAC said.
