Nanthagopal of Madras Enterprises, producer of the successful ‘Jayam’ Ravi-Hansika starrer Romeo Juliet which released in theatres a few months back, has launched his next film as producer and titled it as Veera Sivaji.
Veera Sivaji brings together the first-time on-screen pair of Vikram Prabhu and Shamli, younger sibling of actress and Ajith Kumar’s wife Shalini. This also marks Shamli’s debut as heroine in Tamil films though she has starred in lots of Tamil films in the nineties as a child-artiste including Mani Ratnam’s Anjali.
‘Robot’ Shankar, John Vijay and ‘Naan Kadavul’ Rajendran play prominent roles in the film which is cinematographed by Sukumar. D. Imman scores the film’s music. Ganesh Vinayak has penned the story, screenplay and dialogues of the film besides directing it.
The film got to the floors with a formal muhurat yesterday at Pondicherry. Vikram’s parents Prabhu and Punitha Prabhu took part in the function to mark the commencing of the film’s shoot.
