Mysskin always ends up delivering one controversial speech or the other in all functions he’s been invited to. One such event happened yesterday at the audio launch of Tharkappu where he spoke so harshly about censorship.
“Ladies and children need not come to my next movie. It’s a crime thriller. There is a mentality among Indians that film-makers should make movies for family audiences to watch with their kids. I strongly condemn it. Children should watch only cartoon films. Cinema is an adult’s medium,” said Mysskin.
“Censor board should realize that abusive words are a part of human’s life. You cannot scold a man softly when you are angry. Everyone is inclined to be violent at extreme situations.
How else can a filmmaker portray violence in real life without the choice of words?,” rued Mysskin at the sad state of censorship prevailing in the industry.
