Actress Anjali has made an appeal to the print media to first confirm news items about her before publishing them in print or releasing the news on social networking sites.
For the past few years and ever since she came out in the open a few years back with allegations against her aunt Barathi Devi and film-maker Kalanjiyam as conniving to swindle her properties, Anjali has been in the news almost on a non-stop basis.
Though she loves to keep a low-profile as far as Tamil films are concerned, Anjali feels that it is in the Tamil media where wrong data about her was getting published.
Some reports said that Anjali had been travelling quite frequently to the U.S. to meet her to-be-husband while some said that Anjali was putting on weight due to her Thyroid-related disorders. There were even reports which said that Anjali had been demanding too much money from her produces asking them to pay her on a daily basis.
Coming out in the open against these reports, Anjali said “It is really painful to note that people tend to write whatever comes to their mind about me.
There is no truth in these reports. I appeal to the scribes to confirm a news item first with me before publishing the same. I have great regard for print and television media which stood by me in times of crises; I don’t want a strained relationship with them!”
