It is strongly rumoured in Kollywood that actress Nayantara has ‘gone back’ on her decision to star with relative newcomers. For some reason, the actress is said to have decided that she would henceforth be starring only in films opposite frontline heroes.
Nayan had a heart-breaking break-up first with Simbu and then with choreographer-director Prabhu Deva. The latter almost ruined her film career as she took a six-month long sabbatical from films; in fact, she announced that she was quitting films soon after she starred in Sri Rama Rajyam in 2011. After six months, she announced that she was coming back to films and the response from the audiences was simply overwhelming
Raja Rani and Arrambam, her comeback films in Tamil, turned out to be super-duper hits. Nayan also announced that she would be taking up films opposite newcomers and upcoming heroes too.
Her Maya, which releases in two weeks’ time, pits her opposite Aari of Nedunchaalai fame while she has Naanum Rowdythaan opposite Vijay Sethupathi releasing soon.
Nayan is said to be feeling ‘alienated’ by starring in these movies and has, therefore, decided to star only opposite frontline heroes from now onwards. This is the reason stated for her refusing an offer to be paired up opposite music director G.V. Prakash Kumar in his upcoming film!
