The Tamil Films Producers’ Council (TFPC) has decided to hold movie releases for few days from October 23. Release of many big budget movies is expected to delay due to this controversy against the Theatre owners Association.
Ajith 56 which is planned for Diwali release is in trouble now. The movie directed by Siva of Siruthai fame has Shruti Hassan and Lakshmi Menon in the lead and Music by Anirudh. Another big budget film in trouble is Kamal’s Thoongavanam.
by Rajesh M Selva this movie has Trisha and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles and music by Gibraan. Both these films are under post production and Thala 56 still has one more schedule to be wrapped up.
Since there is two months’ time, it is expected that TFPC may reconsider its decision that will favor the smooth release of movies on expected dates. Coincidentally, Vikram’s 10 Endrathukulla is facing the wrath of this fracas between theatre owners and producers since the makers confirmed its release on October 21st.
