Dimpled beauty Srushti Dange, who has been on a signing spree in Tamil films, has signed up a film titled Navarasa Thilagam opposite television anchor-turned actor Maa Ka Pa Anand.
Old-timers might recall that ‘Navarasa Thilagam’ was the title of R. Muthuraman, father of Karthik and grand-father of Gautham Karthik, who was one of the most popular yesteryear heroes who had rubbed shoulders with the likes of Sivaji Ganesan and the legendary MGR.
Square Stone Films, which earlier made Burma, produces Navarasa Thilagam which has Anand and Srushti pairing up opposite each other for the first time. Besides the lead pair, others in the main cast include Karunakaran, Jayaparakash, Ilavarasu, Bava Lakshmanan, Meera Krishnan, Lakshmi and Mahadevan. Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara fame Siddharth Vipin plays a significant role in the film.
Kamran pens the story, screenplay and dialogues besides directing it. “Anand plays Murthy, who wants to achieve big in real estate. His motto in life is ‘one deal and a wonderful life’. He doesn’t know much about his trade but wants to achieve big. Anand has done a wonderful job in the film while Karunakaran, who plays his friend, has also done a fair job.
“Srushti and Anand shot for a duet which was filmed in Tenkasi and Kutralam recently. In my opinion, Navarasa Thilagam would appeal to all sections of the audiences,” he says.
