Finally, decks have been cleared for the release of Simbu’s much-awaited and much-delayed Vaalu in theatres all over the State and elsewhere on Friday (14th August).
Vaalu ws launched by S.S. Chakravarthy of Nic Arts more than three years back at a medium budget. Debutant Vijayachander was entrusted with directing the film which has the sizzling pair of Simbu and Hansika in the lead.
The film’s release was postponed at least thrice in the past few months, making Simbu’s fans apprehensive the film’s release in theatres.
It turns out that Chakravarthy had taken a huge amount of loan from financiers for Vaalu and another project Vettai Mannan (also starring Simbu) due to which he was not able to release Vaalu despite wrapping up the shoot. Vijaya T. Rajendar, Simbu’s father and a film-maker of note, has said that he is very happy that the film is finally releasing.
“I have undertaken responsibility of paying up all the loans (Rs.26 crores) on my shoulders to as to ensure the film’s release. Those who were least concerned with the film were creating all the troubles. I’m sure Vaalu would turn out to be a huge success and would reduce my financial burden fully,” Rajendar said.
