Nithya Menon, who has had a rocking year so far in Kollywood, has added another feather to her cap by signing up Suriya’s upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual film of thriller genre 24 which has Samantha playing Suriya’s heroine.
Vikram Kumar, who made the 2009 thriller Yaavarum Nalam starring Madhavan and Neetu Chandra in the lead, directed last year’s super-duper Telugu hit film Manam and later launched a Tamil-Telugu bilingual film with Suriya and Samantha in the lead.
Titled as 24, it has turned out to be a significant film for Suriya who has been reeling under back-to-back failures in the form of Anjaan and Maasu Engira Masilamani.
It is touted as Suriya’s first film of thriller genre and pits his Anjaan heroine Samantha opposite him. Reports now say that Nithya Menon, seen in O Kadhal Kanmani and Kanchana 2 this year, has been added to the cast of the film whose shoot has been going on non-stop in Mumbai. Though her role hasn’t been revealed, it is said that it is a meaty role and would be doing justice to Nithya’s talents as an actress.
Unconfirmed reports say that the script of the film is about ‘Time Machine’. Whether or not Nithya plays the second heroine in the film would be answered soon when more details about the film are made known to the press. A.R. Rahman scores the music of the film which is made simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu.
