Malayalam super-duper hit film Bangalore Days, which released in 2014 and starred Nazriya Nazim, Nivin Pauly, Dulquer Salmaan, Fahadh Fasil, Isha Talwar, Parvathy Menon and Nithya Menen in lead roles, is being remade in Tamil. The film, starring Arya and Bobby Simha in the lead, has run into issues with regard to its title.
Makers of the Tamil version, titled as Arjun, Divya Matrum Karthik (the acronym is: ADMK) and starring Arya, Bobby Simha, Sri Divya, Rana Daggubati, Parvathy, Raai Laxmi and Nayantara (in a guest role), has run into issues for the ‘volatile’ title as it refers to the ruling party in the State. The film’s shoot is nearing its end.
Producers of the film, advised by some ‘well-wishers’ in the industry that Amma might not like a romantic film to be named after her party, got in touch with a few Ministers in the State Cabinet to know their reaction to the film’s title.
However, no Minister is said to have reacted as they didn’t even want their names to be associated with the makers of a film whose title is named after their party.
As they didn’t want to take risk, the makers have now decided to go for a change of title. Even the original title of Bangalore Days may not go well with the ruling party as it would surely remind them of the trouble days spent by their leader in Bangalore last year!
