Fourth day into the theatres, S.S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali continues to draw crowds to the theatres as if they are attending some ceremony or festival. The film, which was released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam versions simultaneously, has been running to packed houses at all the screens it was released last Friday.
Netizens have been jamming social networking sites with comments that the film has ‘more than fulfilled the expectations of the audiences’ and that this could be the ‘most loved film’ of all times.
Heavy advance-booking has been reported in almost all the places the film was screened in the States of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telengana and elsewhere.
Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah, Anushka and Ramya Krishnan play the lead roles in the film, which is the first of the two-film sequel. The second part is likely to release in theatres some time next year. The film has released in 4000 screens across the country in India alone and it several screens in U.S. Dubai, Canada and Kuwait.
While it collected Rs.60 crores on its first day, the two-day collections at the box-office have crossed Rs.100 crores, which is a new record for an Indian film.
Reports say that the film has so far collected Rs.135 crores all over the world in just 2 days. Satellite broadcasting rights have so far fetched Rs.60 crores, making the film gross Rs.200 crores in its first three days in theatres!
