Actress Sonia Agarwal has said that she is not averse in trying her hand at marriage and matrimony for the second time in her life provided she meets and likes a ‘perfect soul who shows a lot of understanding’.
Sonia, who turned 33 in March this year, married director Selvaraghavan in 2006 after falling in love with him apparently at the time of making of Kadhal Kondein in 2004.
The marriage didn’t last long and unfortunately, the couple separated from each other by means of divorce in 2010. Sonia made a bold attempt to return as a heroine with the failed venture Oru Nadigaiyin Vakku Moolam in 2011.
She has, however, made a successful comeback to Kollywood thanks to the success of her recent film Palakkattu Madhavan which released in theatres last week and has been doing well in theatres.
While Selvarahavan has gone ahead and married Gitanjali Raman in 2011, Sonia hasn’t married again and was quizzed abut her personal life during a recent chat with newspersons.
“I’m happy being single and I should confess that my well-wishers and those close to me have been urging me to get married again.
I too want to do so; as and when I come across a person who displays a great level of understanding of myself and my profession, I’m ready to get married for the second time,” Sonia has conceded.
