Tollywood film-maker S.S. Rajamouli, the director of the upcoming mega-budget film Baahubali which is to release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam simultaneously, has said that ‘milky beauty’ Tamannaah and lanky beauty Anushka would be essaying the lead roles in the two parts of the film, the first of which would be hitting the screens on 10th July.
Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj and Nassar have played prominent roles in the film which is considered as a ‘pride of Tollywood’ in particular and that of Indian cinema in general.
The trailer of the Telugu version was released recently and received huge hits/downloads from excited netizens from across the globe.
In Chennai yesterday to release the trailer of the Tamil version in the presence of Suriya, Rajamouli shared with presspersons his thoughts about the film.
“We shot for more than 300 days for the film. We have wrapped up the shoot of the first part and 35% of the shoot of the second part. It’s not a dubbed film in Tamil as we have been simultaneously shooting for both the Tamil and the Telugu versions.
“It’s a heroine-oriented film for sure; Tamannaah plays the heroine in the first part while Anushka appears briefly; in the second part, it’s a reversal of roles for them as Anushka plays the heroine in it while Tamannaah plays a brief role.
Sathyaraj has shot for more than 150 days and all the artistes including him have worked hard for the film whose first part is releasing on 10th July in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam,” he concluded.
