At a time when his fans have almost forgotten Vishwaroopam 2, the sequel to his highly successful Vishwaroopam, Kamal Haasan is reportedly making efforts to get the film released under his banner Raajkamal Films.
Producer Ascar Ravichandran is in a helpless position as his properties have been attached by the Court. During the making of his Vishwaroopam in 2012, Kamal had completed shooting most of the sequences of the sequel which hasn’t proceeded further.
Ravichandran procured the release and distribution rights of Vishwaroopam 2 but now that he is in a financial mess, he is least likely to make efforts to release the film. Insiders say that 10% of the shoot of the film still remains to be shot.
It now turns out that Kamal Haasan is to take back the rights from Ravichandran to release the film under his ‘Raajkamal Films’.
In all probability, Vishwaroopam 2 might release after the release in theatres of Kamal Haasan’s upcoming film Papanasam in July.
