Kuwait, known for its stringent censor norms, has banned Suriya’s upcoming horror comedy Masss stating the film’s hero has supernatural powers. Horror films rarely get released in Kuwait since the censor board committee casts a keen eye on violence and content that is not friendly to kids and family audiences.
In the past, they have banned Kanchana franchise and the recently released Demonte Colony too. Hindi films like Yaariyaan, Badlapur and Baby were also banned in the territory.
Meanwhile, the rest of the world is gearing up for the release of the film with premieres planned in Dubai, France, and the US on May 28th evening. The first show in Tamil Nadu will start in theatres on May 29th at 8 AM whereas our neighboring state Kerala will get to see the first show at 5 AM on the same day.
