Kamal Haasan has said that he feels proud of the growth of his daughters and actresses Shruti Haasan and Akshara Haasan.
Kamal’s eldest daughter, the stunning-looking Shruti Haasan, is a multi-tasker and a multi-faceted actress who sings songs, pens lyrics, composes music and dances like an angel besides displaying loads of talents in the acting department.
Akshara Haasan, the younger daughter, debuted as an actress in Bollywood in February this year with the Amitabh Bachchan-Dhanush starrer Shamitabh and did average business.
In a recent interview, Kamal opened up about his daughters while speaking about his upcoming Uttama Villain which is to release in theatres on 01st May. “It is a significant film in my career as it happens to be the last film of my mentor K. Balachander. Tamil films have plenty of talented youths. In my view, winning an Oscar award was never my aim and I don’t intend to have an aim of winning it in future too,” he said.
On another note, he said he was proud of the progress made by Shruti and Akshara. “I asked Akshara to play a minor role in Avvai Shanmugi, she refused initially. Only after I requested her, she said she would act only for a few days.
Now that Balki has convinced Akshara to play the heroine in Shamitabh, I’m thankful to him. Shruti Haasan appears to have sky as the limit for her dreams and aspirations. Such hunger for achieving things is god for a creator,” concluded Kamal.
