Amanda, a petite beauty from Down Under who was born in England, has been signed up as actor Prashanth’s heroine in his upcoming comeback film titled as Saahasam.
Prashanth’s father and producer-director Thiagarajan is producing the film which has been directed by Arun Raj Varma.
Prashanth hasn’t had a release since his 2011 film Mambattiyan; however, his very old film Pulan Visaranai 2, whose shoot was wrapped up more than a decade back, released a few weeks back and sank at the box-office. Saahasam (adventure) is a script giving prominence to song and dance and as such, Thiagarajan had been looking for a suitable heroine for a long time before zeroing in on Amanda.
19-year old stunner Amanda, trained Ballerina, reportedly memorized lengthy dialogues at a go and impressed veterans such as Nassar during the shoot.
Her sincerity, beauty, dedication and Tamil diction (in a husky voice) have made her very popular among the crew members. “Amanda is a great find for Kollywood and after the film’s release, she would become the most sought-after heroine,” Prashanth heaps praise on her.
On her part, Amanda feels that she was ‘very lucky’ to have landed up the offer to pair up a top hero such as Prashanth in her very first film. The film has a huge star-cast including Bollywood sizzler Nargis Fakhri who has danced for an ‘item number’. The audio-launch would be held in two weeks from now and the film would hit the screens some time in May.
