Radhika Apte, the All In All Azhagu Raja, Vetri Selvan and Dhoni actress, has said that she doesn’t want to get typecast. “Whenever I’m approached to star in films, my biggest fear while listening to scripts is that I should be doing the same roles over and over again; I expect each of my characters in films to be very different from each other,” says the 29-year old actress.
Star of the successful yet controversial Bollywood film Badlapur which released recently, Radhika was talking to newspersons recently.
“I’m conscious in ensuring that my role in each film is very different than my latest film. For this reason, however, I’m forced to turn down many offers which come my way. Still, I have no regrets as I’m ready wait longer for roles of substance.
“My upcoming Hindi film Hunterr is a film with an interesting script and backdrop and is a hilarious comedy about a common man. I play a typical middle-class girl in the film.
I’m often asked whether it’s a sex comedy. Nowadays, all sorts of films are being made and loved by the audiences. In this backdrop, I cant’ term is as a sex comedy film but a film with a very practical script.
“I have a long way to go as an actress,” concludes Apte who plays the solo heroine in an upcoming Hindi film Kaun Kitne Paani Mein.
