Sona Heiden, the sexy bombshell of Kollywood, hasn’t been spotted in many films in the past couple of years, upsetting her fans to a great extent. Sona has, in the past, starred in glam-filled roles and even performed ‘item number’ songs.
Sona had her own share of controversies and once accused playback singer-filmmaker S.P. Charan of attempting to ‘molest’ her at a film event in Chennai. Surprisingly enough, she withdrew her complaint later. She also produced the Jai-starrer Kanomozhi which got buried at the box-office even without a whimper.
After a long hiatus, Sona is back in Kollywood and plays a significant role in director A. Venkatesh’s Romba Nallavan Da Nee which has Senthil Kumar and Sruthi Bala in lead roles. “I have been starring in Malayalam films of late. Eight of my films released in Malayalam last year alone. I’m happy that I’m very busy with my projects in Malayalam and am even starring in a film made by Priyadarshan.
“I play ‘Councilor Sakuntala’ in the film. I took up the role as the script and my role in it appealed to me. I have decided to take up only the roles which appeal to me and won’t be doing films for the sake of friends. I’m even ready to play negative roles and a vamp if the script is okay,” concluded Sona.
