“Morphing actresses’ photos, releasing them on various websites and shooting video footages of candid shoots of actresses are worst acts and in many ways are worse than the heinous act of rape,” remarked Hansika.
It may be recalled that a video footage showing a girl resembling actress Hansika taking bath did rounds on the Internet some time back. The video footage, showing the girl resembling Hansika clad in a towel and taking bath merrily, became a rage with netizens sharing and downloading it among their friends. It was obvious that a hidden camera was placed in the bathroom and it was either Hansika or her morphed face on the video.
Hansika didn’t react to the video and stayed away from approaching the police and filing a formal complaint. More than a fortnight after the leakage of the video, Hansika has now spoken about it. “It is indeed disturbing for such videos to be releasing on the net.
We haven’t been leading lives of luxury in films; we toil hard throughout the year to make movie-goers and our fans happy. I fail to understand why we are insulted like this.
“This is worse than getting raped, I feel. Only the Almighty has to punish those who indulge in such acts,” she concluded. To a query as to why she didn’t approach the police for help, Hansika shot back saying it wasn’t she who was in the video and that was why she didn’t seek help from police.
