It appears that finally, after a long gap of more than four years, comedian Vadivelu might get to play the main comedian in a film starring a frontline hero.
Reports say that he has been signed up to take care of the comic section in director Atlee’s untitled film which would star Vijay in the lead and might go to floors some time in the second half of the year. Vadivelu and Vijay have had a fruitful association in the past in films such as Vaseegara, Pokkiri, Sachein, Sura and Kaavalan.
Vijay, who is presently starring in Chimbu Deven’s Puli, is likely to start work in Atlee’s untitled film after June when his Puli would have hit the screens.
Vadivelu, who made a failed attempt late last year to make a comeback in Tamil films with Tenaliraman, is again essaying the lead role in Eli, making his fans wonder whether he would be taking on the comedian’s role in other heroes’ films or not.
Now that he has been signed up to play the comedian in Vijay’s next film, Vadivelu’s fans must be heaving a huge sigh of relief for sure!
