With his second directorial venture ‘Shivaay’ being put on the backburner for some time, actor Ajay Devgn has given his nod to director Nishikant Kamat to start shooting for the Hindi remake of ‘Drishyam’.
The shooting of this thriller movie is expected to kick start in Goa from March this year. According to the latest developments, South film industry’s renowned actress Shriya Saran has been signed to essay the female lead in Nishikant’s project.
Shriya, who has successfully balanced out her South and Bollywood movies, will be playing Ajay Devgn’s wife in this new movie of hers. According to the makers, Shriya fits the character perfectly and is an ideal choice for the role.
The actress, who was seen in Hindi movies like ‘Awaarapan’, ‘Mission Istanbul’ and ‘Gali Gali Mein Chor Hai’, is a huge name down south, having worked in movies of Tamil, Telugu and Kannada languages.
Apart from Ajay Devgn and Shriya Saran, Nishikant Kamat’s yet untitled project will also have talented actress Tabu essaying the role of a super-cop. The movie is being planned to be shot in locales of Goa and Hyderabad.
