An upcoming film which has been titled as AppaTakkar stars ‘Jayam’ Ravi and Trisha, the hit pair of the 2006 hit film Unakkum Enakkum, in the lead. Anjali, the comeback heroine, plays a significant role in the film which has been directed by Suraj.
AppaTakkar resembles a popular dialogue uttered by comedian Santhanam in his films. Suraj has titled the film funnily but is serious about his work in the film as he has already wrapped up 80% of the shoot of the film. The final schedule of the film’ shoot has been going on in Pollachi and its surrounding localities.
Vivek is the comedian in the film and stars in a ‘Jayam’ Ravi film almost a decade after the release of their famous film M Kumaran S/o Mahalaxmi.
As per the script, both Trisha and Anjali fall for Ravi’s charms and Suraj has kept it as a secret as to who finally manages to get Ravi’s hand in marragie (in the film, of course!) A few songs in the film would be shot in foreign locales soon.
Produced by Lakshmi Movie Makers, Appa Takkar is said to be a typical commercial pot-boiler befitting Suraj’s name and image in the industry going by his previous films. The crew says that the film would appeal to all kinds of audiences.
With films such as Bhooloham (opposite Trisha), Romeo Juliet (opposite Hansika and Poonam Bajwa) and Thani Oruvan (opposite Nayantara) waiting to release successively, this year could well turn out to be that of ‘Jayam’ Ravi!
