Jai, who is pairing up opposite playback singer-cum-actress Andrea Jeremiah in his upcoming film Valiyavan, has predicted that the versatile actress might get married by the end of next year.
Jai’s prediction is based on the fact that Nazriya Nazim, his co-star in films such as Raja Rani and Thirumanan Ennum Nikkah, got married last year after the release of those films.
Anjali, who starred opposite him in Engeyum Eppodhum, had to move away from Tamil Nadu to settle in Andhra Pradesh. M. Saravanan, director of Engeyum Eppodhum and Ivan Veramathiri, is directing Valiyavan which has music by D. Imman.
Jai was speaking to a regional weekly recently when he said “When I saw Andrea on the very first day of the shoot of Valiyavan, I told her that she would be getting married by the end of next year or would be moving away from Tamil Nadu.
Saravanan, who was nearby listening to us talk, remarked that if Andrea wished these things should not occur, she had no way other than falling in love with me!
“I have known Andrea very well for the past few years and have spoken to her at many parties. It was Simbu who introduced her to me. She would always be humming or singing songs during breaks in shoot.
If I appreciated it and asked her to continue, she would abruptly stop singing. The song Ithuvarai from Goa is one of my most favourite songs and it was only recently that I realized that it was sung by Andrea,” he concluded.
