Vignesh Shivan, who is presently directing his second film as director with the Vijay Sethupathi-Nayantara starrer Naanum Rowdydhaan, has dismissed reports which appeared in sections of the media that Nayantara plays a deaf girl in the film.
Shivan, who debuted as director with the Simbu-Varalaxmi Sarathkumar starrer Podaa Podi in 2012, is directing Naanum Rowdydhaan which is produced by Dhanush.
Anirudh Ravichander, who has a great personal equation with Dhanush, is the music director of the film which is cinematographed by George C. Williams. Raadhika and Anandaraj play significant roles in the film.
The film’s shoot commenced on 03rd December and has completed its first schedule of shoot recently. Dismissing reports that Nayantara plays a deaf girl’s role in the film, Shivan says that there wasn’t even an iota of truth in those reports. Vijay Sethupathi has ‘sacrificed’ his trademark beard for his role in the film which is likely to release in theatres in June.
