In what may not be good news at all to millions of fans of actor Ajith, his upcoming film Yennai Arindhaal might fail to meet its date in theatres on Pongal next year.Few days back, it was announced that the film, which has Ajith pairing up opposite Anushka and Trisha, would be released on Pongal Day in January.
Doubts on the film’s release in theatres on the scheduled day (Pongal) have reportedly been expressed by none other than Gautham Vasudev Menon, the director of the film who is working with Ajith for the first time. Ajith’s fans, who had already tuned their minds to ‘receive’ the film in January, have reasons to feel upset and disappointed.
It is said that the film’s shoot hasn’t been completed and might prolong for 2-3 weeks more. Thereafter, the post-production work has to commence which might take at least a month or so which means that the film would find it very difficult to release in theatres on 14th January, the Pongal Day.
No date has also been fixed so far for the film’s audio-launch. A.M. Rathnam, the producer, meanwhile, is keen to ensure that the film is released on Deepavali. The next few days might prove decisive in knowing whether film releases on Pongal or not.
