Ascar Films’ Ravichandran, producer of director Shankar’s mega-budget I starring Vikram and Amy Jackson in lead roles, has said that it was the Oscar-award winning composer Rahman who was responsible for the inordinate delay in the film’s release in theatres.
Vikram underwent drastic changes in his physique to suit the roles he essays in the film. The shoot of the film had been wrapped up and Vikram has even started to shoot for his upcoming film directed by Vijay Milton. However, there appears to be no clarity on the date on which I would release in theatres. Producer Ravichandran has now opened up and revealed the reasons for the delay in the film’s release in theaters worldwide.
Audio of I was launched in Chennai many weeks ago in the presence of Hollywood great Arnold Schwarzenegger. Shankar and Vikram’s fans are rather impatient as they have been awaiting the film’s release for the past few weeks now. “Rahman has been taking his time in composing the music; he has completed background score for 6 reels and has 5 more reels to work on.
“He takes extra time in his efforts in ensuring that he produces nothing but the best for the big-budget venture I. He has been working on composing, re-recording and other works for the past 5 months at Studios in Chennai and Los Angeles. We plan to release the film in theatres in December; it might release on Christmas,” Ravichandran said.
