Parvathy Nair, popular Malayalam and Kannada actress who made a ‘guest appearance’ in Samuthirakani’s ‘Jayam’ Ravi-Amala Paul starrer Nimirndhu Nil early this year, is in for a double-treat in Kollywood.
The Abu Dhabi-born Bangalore girl has bagged plum roles in Kamal Haasan’s Ramesh Aravind-directed Uttama Villain and Gautham Menon’s Yennai Arindhaal starring Ajith Kumar, Anushka, Trisha and Arun Vijay in lead roles. She has completed her shoot in Kamal’s film and is presently shooting for Menon’s film in which she has been paired opposite Arun Vijay, who plays his firsr ‘negative’ role in his career in the film.
Parvathy said she didn’t don any make-up when called for a photo-shoot test by Gautham’s aides. “I think Gautham liked my look and offered the role, a prominent one, to me. It’s a role I haven’t tried earlier and am mighty excited about it,” says Parvathy who adds that she has always admired Menon’s portrayal of women in his films. “He is as classy as his films and seems to have a cool head,” she affirms.
Gifted with an hour-glass figure, Parvathy is also mighty happy to be starring along side Ajith, whom she loves a lot. “Ajith’s approach is very simple; he is extremely courteous and friendly. It’s indeed great pleasure to merely chat with him as he talks about many things and keeps me engaged,” she says and adds that she also had a jolly time shooting with Arun Vijay.
