Kamal Haasan has explained the reasons for the delay of Vishwaroopam 2. The shooting of Vishwaroopam 2 took place immediately after the release of Vishwaroopam. At that juncture, Aascar Ravichandran acquired the rights of Vishwaroopam 2.
After that there was no clue that when the film will be released. Kamal Haasan even before the release of the film Vishwaroopam 2 started acting in Ramesh Aravind’s Uthama Villain and Jeethu Joseph’s Papanasam. The shooting of both the films have been completed.
When Kamal Haasan was asked about the release of his three films, he said, “After the problems I encountered when releasing the film Vishwaroopam I was worried about the sequel of the film. Hence instead of waiting for the release, Lingusamy and I started the film Uthama Villain. I agreed to act in Papanasam because the story of the film was very intriguing.
Now the shooting of both the films have been completed. The shooting of Vishwaroopam 2 was completed in the month of October 2013. Only one song is remaining to be shot. We have to wait because of the production work delay. Before we commence a film, we can conduct so many religious rites but the fate of the film cannot be even decided by any occult powers.”
