The first sequence of Vijay’s upcoming film, which would be the 58th in his career and which has been tentatively titled as Maareesan, to be directed by Chimbu Deven would feature as many as 300 dancers with him.
The film’s shoot commences on 10th November and the first sequence to be shot would be a song which would be picturized in an expensive and specially erected set on ECR Road. Billed as a ‘fantasy comedy’, the film also marks the comeback of former Kollywood and Bollywood queen Sridevi in Tamil films as she is slated to play a significant role in the film.
Shruti Haasan and Hansika play the twin heroines in the film whereas Sudeep of Naan Ee fame plays the villain. Insiders say that Sudeep’s role in the film would be a pivotal one and would be as impactful as the villain’s role essayed by Prakash Raj many years back in the super-duper hit film Ghilli. Devi Sri Prasad is the film’s music director.
