Superstar Rajinikanth is said to have given his consent to Sivakarthikeyan to use the title of ‘Rajini Murugan’ for the latter’s upcoming film. The makers have announced now that the film’s shooting would commence from today (30th October).
Director Ponram, music director D. Imman and Sivakarthikeyan, the successful team of last year’s Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam, are joining hands for the second time in Rajini Murugan. Producer-director N. Lingusamy’s Thirupathi Brothers would be producing the film at a huge cost.
Lingusamy sought Rajini’s permission to use his name in the film’s title to which the ‘man of the masses’ immediately gave his consent saying that he had no objection to the title. It may be recalled that Rajini filed a case against the makers of the Bollywood film Main Hoon Rajinikanth for using his name in the titled in a defaming and demeaning way.
The film’s shoot is to commence today from Karaikudi. Keerthi Suresh, Mollywood actress and daughter of yesteryear’s actress Menaka, makes her debut in Tamil as heroine by pairing up opposite Sivakarthikeyan who has only had a solitary release this year so far in Maan Karate.
Sivakarthikeyan, who is a great fan of Rajini in real life, plays the same role in the film too and is said to be extremely at securing Rajini’s ‘no objection’ for using the title.
