You don’t have to be a Pawan Kalyan fan or even follow Telugu to agree that the Tollywood Powerstar’s recent release ‘Atharintiki Daaredi’ was a phenomenal hit. This is the reason why the film is now being remade in Kannada. Sudeep, who we back in Tamil Nadu got introduced to, through ‘Naan Ee’ will play the lead in the Kannada remake.
Those who watched ‘Atharintiki Daaredi’ will also be able to recollect the peppy dance moves by Mumtaz, to a club song; such a song will also be a part of the Kannada remake, and we hear Trisha will wear her dancing shoes for this number.
Trisha entered Sandalwood only recently and she is just a movie old there. But that one movie has modelled her enough to be one of the leading actresses in Kannada. ‘Power’ introduced Trisha as a heroine to the Kannada film industry and the film broke all prior records in Sandalwood in terms of box office success and is still running successfully, even after 50 days from its release.
It is said that this success is the reason why Trisha was chosen for the club song, as she will definitely be hit. However, there were news earlier that Trisha was shortlisted to play the heroine in this remake, but was later replaced by another actress, who is now confirmed the heroine of the flick.
And the question remains as to how come Trisha still agreed to play that small a role in a film, for which she was initially considered to be the female lead.
